Twenty-three years ago today, Brad and I signed on the dotted line and officially became business owners. I still remember that day vividly—the excitement, the nerves, and the hope that we could make a difference for families here in Central Iowa.
Brad had already spent 15 years in the pest control industry by then, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience. For me, it was all new. I dove in headfirst, eager to learn the ins and outs of pest management, customer care, and what it takes to run a small business. Looking back now, I’m so grateful for the leap of faith we took together.
What a wild ride it’s been! From the early days of learning the ropes to growing our company into a trusted name in pest control across Des Moines and beyond, time has truly flown by. Each year has brought its own challenges, but also countless rewarding moments—like helping a worried family sleep soundly again after a bed bug issue, or protecting a homeowner’s dream kitchen from an unexpected ant invasion.
People often ask what keeps us going after all these years. For me, it’s simple: I love getting up every morning knowing we’re helping our friends and neighbors protect their homes and families. Pests don’t just cause annoyance—they can threaten health, safety, and peace of mind. Knowing we can bring relief and security to our community is what makes this work so meaningful.
Of course, we wouldn’t be here without our amazing team and our loyal customers. Our employees show up every day with professionalism and care, going the extra mile to solve problems and make our customers feel supported. And our customers—many of whom have been with us since the beginning—have trusted us with their homes and recommended us to friends and family. That means the world to us.
